ignorance is bliss

today when we watched the film on the illinois university making fun of the native american chiefs and the trustee woman is saying that if anything they should be proud and that they only present it in a good and influential way. who can they be proud if this is something they hold dear, their belief, religion etc and you have some kid running aroung the gym imitating it. if i dressed in a priest outfit had a bible in my hand and acted like i was catchin the "spirit" i would get shunned, put in the paper and be on the news that same night. and also the last image with the sports thing, and their like im a washington redskin and see nothing wrong with it but i see it as someone saying im a new york nigger its degrading to you and the people that were called nigger and those who are still call nigger

  1. I agree with this so much! this is what i was saying with my behold vs. beware post! People can do the best and the worst things all at the same time! Once you see something like that it is hard to turn the other cheek, but people do it all the time.

  2. The questions are: can we speak for others? do we know what the other is going through? can we really understand the other?
