I thought about how Colleges are using American Indian names and logos without facing any legal complications. Perhaps if the government viewed Native American Indians as more of a endanger race of human beings there would be laws that would preven that. If animals that are endangered are protected by law, why not American Indians?
Or how it is illegal to were the Medal Of Honor if you were never recieved one, why not apply the same thing towrds American Indians? There has been so many false claims of Medal Of Honor holders that there's a special department to investgate them.

You should post links to that controversy! I don't know anything about it!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about the "endangered race" classification. But we do create a protected status designation for animals. And at the same time, continue to forget about our American Indian brothers and sisters, unless they're depicted as a logo or mascot...
i think he's just using endangered race because their population is so small so its not like a technical thing but like a figure of speech. but i think people see them more as tools for benefit than human beings that have rules and values and ways that we dont understand. and because we dont understand them we use to it we think its okay to make fun of it
ReplyDeleteit is just lack of education, people do not know how they feel, unless it is done to them
