we didnt really have the time to discuss black immigration in comparison to white immigration so to continue the discussion further, i just wanted to say we have to think about why each group immigrated here, whether or not they were here for a permanent residence. the black immigration group, for the most part came here tied up solely for the use of slavery. they were forced onto US soil, whereas other groups migrated here for other sources of income and so on. and white immigration groups were later encouraged to be involved in US politics whereas, blacks were discouraged. black people suffered more intensely from political othering than white immigrations.
in my opinion, you cant compare black and white immigrations because blacks never really "immigrated" here by choice but forced here for labor.

What if the United States has created domestic and international policy that is the reason behind the "economic conditions" forcing immigration? Can it still be considered immigration?

Well after WWI yes it most certainly did, but for me it has always seemed like no matter where you are in the world if you have enough money most people come here. No matter what the economic situation is here they still flood the borders... Why is that? Even now during our economic crisis, and serious deteriation of the housing market and all of the things going on politically there are still millions of people trying to get in, Why dont they see that this is not the same America thier parents told them about?
